LoisVranesh

Lois was a founding company member of The Merlin Players and sat on its Board of Directors for eighteen years. Her onstage body of work includes “Driving Miss Daisy,” “The Lion in Winter,” “A Trip to Bountiful,” “It’s a Wonderful Life,” and “Moon Over Buffalo.” In addition, Lois was a music director in over fourteen TMP musicals. Her casts remember her enthusiastic prodding to enunciate their words and deliver musical performances that were well acted. Her favorite phrase was “Gentle people,” and then you would get your comments. Lois especially loved working with young people.

Daniel Freeman

Daniel came to TMP in its second season appearing in “It’s a Wonderful Life.” He served on the Board of Directors for three years as vice-president and gave generously of his time and talent. He is remembered for his stellar performances in “Tuesdays with Morrie,” “The Laramie Project,” “The Underpants,” “Of Mice and Men,” “On Golden Pond,” “The Fantastiks,” and “A Christmas Carol.” He also appeared in a number of fundraisers and was a one-man promotion machine. It seems strange to us that this force of nature is no longer here but we are blessed to have known him.

Craig Berg

Craig Berg was a founding member of The Merlin Players and on its original board of directors. Over the past 22 years, he has created many wonderful stage portraits as an actor and also served as a stage manager, set builder and director.
The list of plays in which he appeared on the TMP stage include: “It’s a Wonderful Life,” “The Fantastiks,” “Driving Miss Daisy,” “How the Other Half Loves,” “Odd Couple,” “The Trip to Bountiful,” “Lion in Winter,” “Man of La Mancha,” “The Laramie Project,” “Misery,” “Guys and Dolls,” “The Christmas Schooner,” “Frankenstein,” “The Underpants,” “Lost in Yonkers,” “Footloose,” and “Meshuggah Nuns.” He also directed “Farragut North” in 2016. Craig was named best director by the Southeastern Scene magazine in 2016 and 2017. His skill as an actor was unmatched and his loss as a director is felt throughout the theater community. But we just miss our dear friend who loved people, family and the Twins and the Vikings.
